ACPC Partners with Helping Hands Outreach

Ann the Van at Helping Hands

Ann the Van, ACPC's mobile medical ultrasound van, partners with Helping Hands, which was founded by Mt. Carmel Veterans Services. This is a unique outreach designed to serve the Pueblo community veterans and anyone who may need a helping hand, extra food for the pantry, or an encouraging word. There are many services and vendors, including the ACPC Mobile Ultrasound Unit, Care and Share, Vets Spa Auto, Visiting Angels, Pueblo Parks and Recreation, Mobile Eye Clinic, Evraz, Pueblo Bank and Trust, and the Library District.

ACPC enjoys this partnership as it allows us to get involved with the community and share our services through on-site pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, as well as getting people connected with the classes and mentoring offered at our brick-and-mortar location or Zoom. "Our community can really benefit from services coming together like this in one location; we have noticed more people getting involved." Says Rick Barnett from Visiting Angels. Helping Hands is located in the St. Mary Corwin Hospital parking lot, where the event takes place on the first Wednesday of every month, rain or shine.
