Adventure of A Lifetime: Reliving Our 2026 Banquet

On September 11, nearly 700 people gathered at the Pueblo Convention Center for A Caring Pregnancy Center’s 2026 Annual Fundraising Banquet, “Adventure of a Lifetime.” This year’s theme reminded everyone that parenting is a journey filled with unexpected turns, challenges, milestones, and moments worth celebrating. For many of the women and families who walk through ACPC’s doors, that journey begins with a moment they never expected.

Sometimes it starts with a positive pregnancy test and a lot of questions. Sometimes it is a parent wondering how they will provide for another child or a dad trying to figure out how to be the father he wants to be. Whatever brings someone through our doors, ACPC exists to provide compassionate care, truthful information, practical support, and someone willing to walk alongside them through what comes next.

A Night to Celebrate

This year, our goal was to raise $350,000 to help ACPC continue providing free medical services, education, mentoring, and practical support to women and families throughout Pueblo and Southern Colorado. By the end of the evening, our guests had given $307,994.53 toward that goal.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, sponsored the event, hosted a table, gave financially, volunteered, or simply took the time to hear about the work happening at ACPC. With 692 people in the room, it was an incredible opportunity to come together, celebrate what happened over the past year, and look ahead to what is next.

695 Clients, 695 Different Adventures

Over the past year, 695 clients came through ACPC’s doors. Each one had a different story and a different reason for being there. Some came for pregnancy testing or an ultrasound. Others needed education, mentoring, diapers, clothing, or simply someone willing to sit with them and help figure out what comes next.

Every one of those clients represents a different adventure, and ACPC has the opportunity to be part of that journey.

One of those clients was Madison. She came to ACPC facing an unexpected pregnancy and significant pressure from her much older boyfriend, who offered her money for an abortion and told her they had no future together. Madison was emotional and unsure what choices were available to her.

After talking with an advocate, she returned to ACPC two weeks later and shared that she had decided to parent. During her ultrasound, she watched her baby’s heartbeat while her mother held her hand and said, “We’ve got this.” Madison smiled and replied, “Yes, we do.”

She left that day with ultrasound photos and a handmade pair of baby booties, and she plans to continue receiving support through ACPC’s Life Services programs.

Madison’s story is just one example of why ACPC’s work goes beyond a single pregnancy test or ultrasound. We want to be there for the person on the other side of that appointment, whether she needs medical care, a parenting class, material support, mentoring, or help navigating the next chapter of her life.

Growing to Meet the Need

This past year also brought new opportunities for ACPC to expand how we serve our community. The clinic expanded its hours to include Fridays and Saturdays, giving women more opportunities to access care. ACPC is also working to add syphilis testing for pregnant patients as we continue strengthening the medical services available through the clinic.

We are also working to reach women in new ways. Through Google, TikTok, social media, and other digital platforms, ACPC is connecting with women where they are already searching for answers. So far this year, those efforts have connected ACPC with 235 women who were specifically searching online for abortion services. Those aren't simply clicks or impressions. They represent people who were looking for answers and encountered ACPC in the process.

Looking Toward the Next Adventure

Looking toward the future, ACPC has an ambitious vision for the next five to ten years. That vision includes fully staffed satellite offices, expanded well-woman and prenatal care, social workers providing ongoing support, and access to mental health services for clients who need them.

Reaching that vision will take time, planning, and continued support from our community, but every step moves us closer to being able to serve more women and families in more ways.

That is where the support from events like the Annual Banquet becomes so important. With the clinic now open six days a week, ACPC has the capacity to serve as many as 300 additional women each year. And $79 a month can provide the support needed to walk alongside one family through pregnancy and parenting for an entire year.

An Evening with Kyle Mann

Of course, every adventure needs a little laughter along the way. This year, we welcomed Kyle Mann, Editor-in-Chief of The Babylon Bee, to the stage. Kyle brought some of The Babylon Bee’s signature humor with him, sharing a few of his favorite satirical articles and giving our guests plenty to laugh about. It was a fun change of pace during an evening centered on the work of ACPC and the women and families we serve.

Thank You for Being Part of the Adventure

At the heart of the evening was the reason everyone had gathered in the first place: the women, children, and families who will walk through ACPC’s doors in the months and years ahead.

We may never know every story that begins because someone found ACPC when they needed help. We may not know the names of every child who will take their first steps, start school, graduate, build a career, or someday start a family of their own. But we know that every one of those stories begins somewhere.

For some families, that beginning happens at ACPC.

Thank you to the supporters who joined us for this year’s Annual Banquet. Thank you to our underwriters, table hosts, volunteers, staff, board members, donors, and everyone who helped make the evening possible. Most of all, thank you to everyone who continues to support ACPC and help make it possible for women and families to receive care, support, and a place to turn as they navigate their own Adventure of a Lifetime.
