They say it takes a village to raise a child, but at A Caring Pregnancy Center, we believe that for many in Pueblo, the village starts right here. While our initial work often focuses on protecting the preborn during those first critical weeks, we know that life is not just a single moment; it’s the start of an Adventure of a Lifetime.

Building the Foundation for the Journey

In 2025, our parenting programs became a cornerstone for hundreds of Pueblo families. We saw 1,851 total client visits last year, and a significant portion of those were parents coming back to gear up for the next phase of their journey. In fact, 32.3% of our 2025 visitors were repeat clients, proving that once a family starts their adventure with us, they find a community worth staying with.

To help parents navigate the terrain of raising children, we offer specialized educational tracks:

  • The Bright Course: With 169 visits last year, this program provides essential evidence-based information on everything from prenatal care to toddler milestones.

  • First Steps & First Steps Plus: These programs saw a combined 506 visits in 2025. These sessions are designed to build the practical skills parents need to provide a stable, loving, and healthy environment.

According to a 2026 report from the American Academy of Pediatrics, consistent parenting education and social support during the first three years of a child’s life are the leading predictors of long-term emotional resilience. By investing in these classes, our clients aren't just getting "help"; they are becoming the experts their children need.

The Lead Explorer: The Power of an Involved Father

A healthy family adventure is rarely a solo trek. One of the most vital aspects of a thriving home is the presence of an involved father. We take the research to heart: The National Fatherhood Initiative’s "Father Facts" highlights that when fathers are active and engaged, children see significantly better socio-emotional, academic, and behavioral outcomes.

At ACPC, we aren't just here for mothers; we are here for the whole family unit. We were encouraged to see 65 distinct male clients engage with our center in 2025. We are helping men in Pueblo embrace their role as protectors and leaders with confidence.

Empowerment Through the "Earn While You Learn" Model

We believe that every parent deserves to feel the dignity of providing for their child. Our whole-person approach is reflected in our "Earn While You Learn" program. By investing in their own education through our classes, parents earn "Baby Bucks" to use in our boutique.

In 2025, we celebrated 141 Baby Buck redemptions, where parents "purchased" essential items like clothing, diapers, and small equipment. We also provided material support during 177 visits where no bucks were used, ensuring that no family in our program went without the basics. This model ensures that as parents grow in knowledge, they also grow in their ability to provide.

The Adventure Continues

As we move past our June Walk for Life and toward our $50,000 annual goal, we are reminded that the funds raised aren't just for tests and scans. They are for the Financial Peace University sessions that help a dad get out of debt. They are for the personal finance coaching sessions that help a mom save for her first home. They are for the 78 babies born last year who are now starting their second year of life in a home that is stronger because of this community.

Whether you are a first-time parent or someone who has been walking with us for years, we want you to know that our doors are open. We aren't just saving babies; we are building strong, resilient parents. If you’re looking for a village that values who you are and who you are becoming, come join the adventure with us this July.
