Meet Davey Blackburn
Davey and his wife, Amanda, moved to Indianapolis in 2012 to plant Resonate Church. They had a dream to start a church that would cause the city to come alive in the power of Jesus. Since high school, Davey has been passionate about seeing people meet Jesus and helping them discover their God-given purpose in life. On July 28th, 2014, they brought Weston James Blackburn into the world.
On November 10th, 2015, Davey came home from the gym to find his wife murdered in a home invasion. She was pregnant with their second child. Weston was in his crib, unharmed.
Since that day, countless people have come to know Christ through Amanda’s story. 2 years later, Davey remarried, and God’s redemption story began to unfold. Davey and his new wife, Kristi, founded Nothing is Wasted Ministries, a non-profit organization that helps people in trauma, tragedy, and major life transitions discover God’s purpose out of their pain. Through the ministry of Nothing is Wasted and as a sought-after speaker, Davey works with churches, college campuses, corporations, and correctional facilities to help people partner with God to take back their stories. Their seminal curriculum, Pain to Purpose, has helped thousands navigate their pain and trauma and find healing and wholeness. Davey hosts the Nothing is Wasted Podcast, which now has over 300 episodes and has been seen by over 3 million downloads.
Davey and Kristi now live in Indianapolis, IN, with their three kids, Natalia, Weston, and Cohen, and their long-haired miniature dachshund, Henry.
