Laurie's Story | Client Testimony
Laurie* walked into our Center requesting a pregnancy test and ultrasound. She immediately stated that she wanted to terminate her pregnancy. She expressed that she had never wanted to be a mother and was upset that her birth control had failed. During the ultrasound, she was able to see her child moving around and was surprised to see how developed her baby was. Even though she was moved to tears, she was adamant that she couldn’t change her mind and once again stated that she would be moving forward with termination.
We followed up with Laurie after her appointment and we were thrilled to hear that she had changed her mind and decided to parent. Laurie expressed how grateful she was for the non-judgmental staff who treated her with kindness.
A second ultrasound machine is being provided to ACPC via a generous grant from Pre-Born! and the Knights of Columbus. Without the amazing gift of our first ultrasound machine, donated by Focus on the Family, we would have never been able to make a connection between Laurie and her child.
