Walk for Life a Massive Success

On Saturday, June 5th, A Caring Pregnancy Center hosted its largest Walk for Life event to date. The Pueblo community showed up in full force with nearly double the number of registered walkers this year over last and with 250 people joining us at Mineral Palace Park.

Thanks to our walkers/runners and their sponsors, we not only met our goal of raising $50,000, but we also exceeded it by raising a total amount of $52,000. These funds are secured and ready to be used to continue serving women and families in Pueblo in need of pregnancy and parenting support.

TOGETHER WE RAISED $52,000

AT THIS YEAR’S WALK FOR LIFE

Walkers gathered at Mineral Palace Park sporting custom-made ACPC Hidden Treasure T-shirts and holding teal-colored balloons! ACPC Board of Director’s Vice President, Vance Crocker, announced that our ACPC Women’s Clinic building (which opened Jan. 2021) is completely paid off thanks to numerous grants and generous financial support from donors and the community.

We’d like to extend our thanks to the local vendors who joined us at this year’s Walk for Life including Shay the Fairy of Sisters 3 Art, Mr. Magic (graciously sponsored by Ray Catulli), and Tessa Shellenberger of Pink Truck Concessions. These lovely vendors delighted the children with fun face-painting, balloon animals, and kept our walkers cool with sweet treats and lemonade!

Our top walkers this year were Alexis Ohrdorf, Tamra Axworthy, Frank Titoni, and Kirsten Essian.

Our Top Teams included 'This Is Us', 'Volunteers of ACPC', 'The Ohrdorf Family', and 'Team Jesus'.

Thank you for joining us on walk day and making this event a massive success!
