First Steps is for expectant parents, first-time parents, or parents with multiple children. The program consists of 12 classes designed to help you succeed in parenting. Classes meet every Wednesday from 12 - 1 p.m. All classes are free.

Welcome to Science class, just not as boring! We’re breaking down the research-backed ways parents and caregivers can support children’s healthy brain development.
In this free workshop, we talk about what it takes to create a successful family-life for your children, how you can build rich experiences that shape their character, and the most important things a child needs to build good life skills.
We love when our children are happy and we love being able to do for them in ways we didn’t get as kids. But too much of a good thing is never good. We’ll talk about the pitfalls of entitlement and how to edify their childhood with necessary life skills that will prepare them for a successful future.
There are four widely researched styles of parenting: authoritative, permissive, authoritarian, and neglectful. The styles range from controlling to undemanding, and from cold and unresponsive to loving and receptive. In recent years, over-involved parents, who are present in every aspect of their child’s life, are often referred to as the fifth style. They are also known as snowplow or helicopter parents.

In partnership with Young At Heart Dental & Vision. This free workshop will provide information on oral and vision health for children in infancy to 3-years-old. The class will include demonstrations as well.
