It was an incredible turnout at our 2021 Annual Fundraising Banquet. Just over 570 supporters and 38 corporate sponsors experienced an elegant evening with purpose. The theme this year was "Hidden Treasures" - a sentiment that strives to reveal to every woman, pregnant or otherwise, the valuable treasure that she has hidden within her. Dr. Anthony Levatino and his wife, Cecelia Levatino, were our keynote speakers for the evening. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Dr. Levatino described his experience as a former abortionist. As one guest, Richelle, stated, "The message Dr. Levatino shared was heavy, heart-wrenching, and honest. Many thanks to Mrs. Cecelia for her contributions to the presentation. What a dynamic duo these two are."

About Dr. Levatino

Dr. Anthony Levatino is a Board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who recently retired after 40 years in the medical field. He is also a former lawyer and a former associate professor of OB/GYN at Albany Medical Center, where, additionally, he served as the Medical Student Director and Residency Program Director. In the early years of his career, Dr. Levatino performed nearly 1,200 abortions as a routine part of his practice, but his views on abortion began to change after a tragic accident killed his 5-year-old daughter, Heather. Today, he is a vocal pro-life advocate who has testified before Congress several times about the brutal nature of abortion.

His wife, Cecelia, is a former nurse who has been actively involved in state politics. The couple has one grown child and one grandchild. To our knowledge, Cecelia is the only wife of a former abortionist who has dared to pull back the veil of confidentiality about family relationships and the consequences of abortion on the families of the physicians who perform them.

An Evening with a Purpose

The evening kicked off with guests being welcomed and seated at their table. Bishop Stephen Berg delivered an invocation and then all in attendance rose for the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance delivered by Undersheriff J.R. Hall. Guests were treated to a delicious dinner while enjoying slideshows and videos recapping ACPC’s community impact, staff introductions, and highlighting local pastors.

Chief Executive Officer, Tamra Axworthy, outlined ACPC’s vision for 2022, which focuses on building a garage to house our Mobile Medical Unit onsite our newly renovated and now paid in full Women’s Clinic and extending our online marketing campaigns. Through pledges, sponsorships, and one-time donations, supporters raised $216,329. Banquet gifts are still being accepted through the end of the year. All donations are tax deductible. The pledges received will help sustain the center in the coming year. ACPC relies heavily on our fundraisers, which make up 49.2% of our annual budget. Make a donation >>

Thank you, Dr. Levatino

We'd like to thank Dr. Anthony Levatino and his wife, Cecelia, for headlining our special evening and delivering a powerful speech on the brutality of abortion and the urgent need to continue fighting for life. It was a privilege to hear their testimony and to learn so much from it. Their presentation helped magnify our cause in the best possible way. Without them, our Annual Fundraising Banquet would not have been a success.
