Volunteers are the heart of any non-profit organization. They are the unsung heroes who often work behind-the-scenes, who deserve to be recognized. ACPC is grateful for the numerous volunteers who devote their time, talent, and energy to investing in Pueblo's women and families. ACPC currently relies on 50 active volunteers with responsibilities ranging from Parenting Advocate, Pregnancy Options Advocate, Loss Recovery Advocate, and more! Caroline’s Volunteer Story
When I found out I was pregnant, I visited A Caring Pregnancy Center and was impressed by how supportive and kind everyone was. They were still there for me even when I had a miscarriage. They called me, prayed with me, and let me know that they were there for me both physically and spiritually through prayer. For that reason, I thought it would be an honor to serve in such a genuine and faithful community.
I’ve been volunteering with ACPC for a little less than a year. My role is to assist women and families who have had a miscarriage or who need support during their pregnancy. This involves attending pregnancy classes as well as one-on-one sessions.
ACPC's community and atmosphere are centered on love and founded on Christ, which I value. ACPC was there for me when I needed it the most, and I want to be there for others in the same way. I also like that I'm able to share the gospel in both words and actions.
If you’re thinking of volunteering with ACPC, don’t hesitate! As a volunteer, you are always supported; the training is excellent, but so is the continuous follow-up to check how you are doing. You will also enjoy being a member of a Godly family. The best part is seeing someone walk away with a smile because they have just had an encounter with Jesus through you.
