April is Volunteer Appreciation Month! Volunteers are the heart of any non-profit organization. They are the unsung heroes who often work behind-the-scenes, who deserve to be recognized. ACPC is grateful for the numerous volunteers who devote their time, talent, and energy to investing in Pueblo's women and families. ACPC currently relies on 50 active volunteers, with popular responsibilities including stocking the Baby Boutique, driving our Mobile Medical Unit, mentoring clients, teaching a variety of parenting and pregnancy classes, grounds keeping, and more!

Meet Volunteer, Caroline

“When I found out I was pregnant, I visited A Caring Pregnancy Center and was impressed by how supportive and kind everyone was. They were still there for me even when I had a miscarriage. They called me, prayed with me, and let me know that they were there for me both physically and spiritually through prayer. For that reason, I thought it would be an honor to serve in such a genuine and faithful community.”

Meet Volunteer, Tamara

“I've always advocated for girls and young women in the workplace, aiming to make girls as competitive in science and math as boys. But when my daughter became pregnant unexpectedly, I was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. We reached out to a pregnancy center in Kansas, and God's grace was extended to her through them. Education, support, encouragement, and guidance were all provided, just as they are here. I decided that once I retired, I would give back to my community in a similar way to what my daughter experienced.”

Make a Difference Like Tamara and Caroline

ACPC is blessed to have such awesome, committed volunteers! One of the best qualities of ACPC is that it is not limited to women. Some of our male volunteers serve in the areas of mentoring, driving Ann the Van, and maintaining and keeping ACPC grounds safe.

We are always looking for more volunteers! By volunteering with ACPC, you’ll help make an impactful difference in the lives of hundreds of women and families while collaborating with other like-minded individuals in a fun, warm, and inviting environment. If you would like to donate some of your time and talent, visit acpcpueblo.org/volunteer for more information or download a volunteer application today.
